Friday Night Happy Hour

Tonight dad and I went to our regular swim lesson at Anacapa Dive Shop, off State Street, near the Pier. We had such a great time. My new friend, Cash, and his mom and dad took a picture and video of Dad and I dunking ouselves under water (look to the left). It was so much fun!!!

We also played falling off the side of the pool into the water. I was trying to do it myself, but I still need dad's help to pull me into the water. I think I'm a little more cautious than the average kid. After I fall into the water, I try my best to turn around and grab the side of the pool and climb out. Sometimes, I think Dad enjoy's watching me fall into the water more than I like jumping in. But that's ok! We laugh together and it makes it all worth it! Anyhow, I gotta run! This weekend is Dad's day and I gotta finish with his gift! Thanks for reading this!!

What a big weekend! Saturday morning we walked down to the Big Dog Parade. It’s an annual parade where thousands of dogs parade down State Street dressed in hilarious costumes. We saw Greyhound dogs dressed as greyhound buses, all different dogs dressed as Dalmatians, lots of dogs dressed as bikers, some as lions and even a few as ballerinas. Dad let me ride on his shoulders so I could get a better view. A few floats had bands and we’d dance or bounce to the beat. I liked using Dad's head as a drum.

Saturday afternoon we went to the beach and I played with Dad & we shared some watermelon.

Then Sunday was the big day . . . We went to the park to have a picnic & I pushed my scooter around all by myself. Here is a little glimpse of the action.

I've quit the formula...

My 1st year check up went great.
I'm 30 and a 1/2 inches long (75%)
Weight 23lbs 2ozs (55%)
Head circumference 19 and 1/2 cm (97%)
My doctor said I'm doing great. I've quit formula and moved on to organic whole milk. Dad is helping me kick the bottle too, last night I had my bedtime milk in a sippy cup. I'm also eating with a spoon . . . See.

Connor turns one!!!!

What a birthday. My grandma came to visit & she gave me this cool sports car. I drove it into town for breakfast at Tupelo Junction. I had breakfast with Mom, Dad & Grandma. They let me park my ride right there in the restaurant. I had a birthday hat with my name on it so everyone was wishing me happy birthday and knew my name.

That afternoon we loaded up my new wagon and went to the beach. It was awesome. We took snacks, toys, Grandma & Zuki came too. I played in the water and practiced walking with my dad. We saw lots of people surfing and even some dolphins playing in the water.

That night we all had dinner together. My uncle Terry came too. I had carrot cake cupcakes, I'm not sure how I felt about the frosting. It was really sweet.

1st Ice Cream Cone

Last weekend after we had a picnic at Shoreline Park, we took Connor to McConnell's ice cream. Chris and I both shared little bits of our ice cream cones with Connor. Unfortunately we didn't have a camera with us. He had ice cream all over his face, it was adorable. He loved taking bites of the sugar cone and then sharing it with us. I think he's already addicted, like his dad.
