Connor rode "Epona," AKA "Pony". She is a 13.2hh, 12-year-old Welsh Pony mare with the ability to jump 4ft, one of the barn's best jumpers, despite being the smallest.
She is also the character of the barn, always making people laugh and she loves to eat everything in sight.
Good-hearted and full of energy, she's very fun to ride. Connor LOVED her. He was a confident & calm rider. We were all so impressed. He loved it so much we will continue with lessons here. Here is the little cowboy in action.
First they go get the horse from the barn.
Here he is carrying the grooming bucket. It looks heavy.
Then Mia showed him how to groom his Pony. Mia was so good at teaching Connor about safety and grooming. BTW The training facility had an amazing view.
He cleaned the hooves,
painted the hooves,
and collected the gear.
All ready to go.
Taking Pony to the arena.
And he's riding.
Just riding by himself like a little pro.
Jessie loved the horses too. She was not even scared of this huge animal right up in her face. She patted his nose and put her hand right in her mouth.
What a great week. We took the kids to Inspiration Point. They both did great.
Connor has become such a great hiker. He just charged up that hill with energy and exuberance. He stayed in character the whole hike...note the kangaroo hands. For the last year or so Connor pretends he is an animal everyday. He makes us call him baby kangaroo, or cheetah or tiger or what have you. He is always an animal. I hope he remembers this, he is too cute.
We all wore our 'NEVER GIVE UP' shirts to represent theGSF.org
Chris' friend Phil who he's known since college came to visit this Saturday. He always brings Connor the best gifts. This time he brought him a remote control car from the Car2 movie and he was thrilled!
The happy bunch.
My little princess looking so pretty. And look she is getting a tiny bit of hair too!
Auntie Jess came over with Rick to visit the kids before the adults went out to a lovely dinner at Olio e Limone.
We had a great visit with the Rice family. Connor was so happy to have his cousins here to play with! They swam, colored, built legos, hiked, walked on the beach, had lunch at Padaro Grill and just played.
So proud of these kids making it all the way to the top of Inspiration Point!
Connor, Grace & Katie are all little fish. It's fun seeing how great they are in the pool.
Jess sported one of her many adorable bathing suits.
Too cute!!
One of the highlights...wine tasting with the girls.
