The next phase . . .

Well our little kitchen remodel is moving right along. The bar is built and the drywall complete. This week: painting, finish installing switches, solar tube, lighting trim and the beautiful range hood. Cabinets don't come for about another 3-4 weeks. I can't wait!

As of Thursday evening we were given the go ahead to use our appliances which is AWESOME. But we are still living out of the playroom which is tight! Oh how I'm counting the days.

Phase One Demo

Chris, Todd & Gordon (not pictured) demoed the wall in lightening speed.
They did it in 1/2 a day. And they did a great job.

No more studs, ducting, gas line, fire sprinkler and lots of electrical all moved.
Just a clear beautiful view into the living & dining room.

Next phase:
Inspections then dry wall followed by island range hood installation, then bar top, followed by painting and cabinets.
We can't wait to have all our friends over to celebrate!

Oh Baby

This weekend Holley and I threw a lovely little celebration for our 2 dear pregger friends Ronda Fallon and Marina Delio. Ronda's due Feb 28 and Marina is due March 24. Holley and I have hosted several parties together before and we always have a blast!

Fun goodie bags with lots of loot including bath toys, vases, candy, cars, balls etc.

We served mimosas, bloody marys, cranberry lime juice, white bean and spinach dip with endives, homemade pumpkin bread, zucchini bread, fruit with vanilla yogurt, warm blue cheese and bacon dip, spinach and sun dried tomato quiche and of course chocolate cupcakes.

The dad's were all there to celebrate as well.

Connor was so cute with baby Ava and so well behaved at dinner.

Boarding the train with Dad for a ride down to Carpinteria to have dinner with the Ferrons.

Ava's birthday party was a big hit!
