Today was one for the books! It started in the morning with Connor sleeping til 9. Then we went to the members party at Cathedral Oaks where there was a DJ, snow cones, face painting, a live gold fish catching game, lots of balloons, a raffle, margaritas, beer, friends, sunshine, splashing in the pool, water slide, great food and a lot of happy kids!
Our friends, Patrick and Lauren, invited us to join them for a beach camp fire with their twin boys, Jackson and Aidan. We rushed home, let Connor skip a nap and loaded up the suburban with beach supplies, marshmallows, more beer, and hot dogs.. YuM!!! Connor loved roasting the marshmallows, but he especially loved the hole Patrick dug with the sand slide. We stayed until 9 pm and tried to figure out why we don't do this more often. It was the kind of day that makes you feel like all is right with the world.....sunburns, sore cheeks from smiling too much and full bellies...WE LOVE SB!!
I am taking this blog over from my mom. Here I will share my thoughts, ideas, adventures, creations, and photos.

1st Passport
Friday we took Connor to the Santa Barbara Court house to get his 1st passport. Yes we still have to wait for it to come in the mail but going to the court house and having his picture taken was still pretty exciting. We are going to Europe in October and I've been getting Connor excited by showing him youtube videos of gondola rides in Venice and the Eiffel tower at night. I told him we had to go to the court house to get his passport so we could go do those things. So when we were leaving the passport office he burst into tears and said "I want to go to the Eiffel tower, I want to go on the boat now."
If only things were that easy....

Summer time fun.
Connor and I had an afternoon beach date on Thursday. We went to Mesa Lane and Connor climbed all 200 hundred stairs on his own with out a complaint! I was so proud of him.
Last week Connor had his 1st "real" swimming lesson. Chris had done lots of swim experience classes with Connor but this was his 1st lesson with out mom or dad in the pool.
