Girls Trip - Vegas 2011
Last weekend we took a girls trip to Las Vegas. My friend Sarah's husband surprised the 5 of us with a trip to Vegas to celebrate Sarah's birthday!!! He thought of every detail! We had an ultra modern 2 bedroom, 3 bath suite at the Palms Place, just amazing! He sent us to The Spa at The Encore where we were treated to mani/pedis and unlimited champagne! After a relaxing time at the Spa we had dinner at Sensi at the Bellagio. We danced the night away at Moon. Then the next morning we had brunch at Thomas Keller's Bouchon at the Venitian Hotel... again AMAZING! A weekend I will never forget! I love you girls!

new year, new school
Last week Connor started at his new preschool. Samantha one of Connor's best friends goes to school there and he is thrilled to be at the same school. He did have a few tears the 1st few times but after only 3 days he seems to have adjusted. So much so that when I told him I was proud of him for not crying on Monday he said "Yeah, I didn't miss you at all!"... (that's one way to put it).
I told him his goal for the day was to make one new friend and so on Thursday he made one new friend :-) then Monday another new friend. Pretty soon he will have lots of new friends at school. I've had a chance to meet some of the students and they seem really nice and friendly. Connor also seems to like his teacher and the other teachers at the school. Another big plus is that it's on the way to daddy's work. Daddy is looking forward to having the opportunity to take Connor to school, which he didn't have at the last school because of logistics.
Have a great year at preschool Connor! We are so proud of you!

New Years 2011
We could not have asked for a better New Years. We spent it visiting the family in Sacramento CA. Where we got to see Connor bond with Grandma, Grandpa, Great Granddad, Uncle Bobby, Uncle Matthew, Auntie Andrea and his cousins Natalie and Andrew. We have not seen them in over a year and we were all over due for some serious catching up time.
The drive up was a breeze. Connor seems like a 13 year old sometimes; now he can control the DVD player in the car all by himself. It's so nice not to have to hang over the seat and press buttons for him or change movies. This age is amazing, he is becoming so independent.
I was so happy they still had the tree up for some nice holiday shots.
Connor and Grandpa played Legos, read horse books, played the wii and did some serious bonding. So much so that the 1st night we were there Connor asked if he could sleep with Grandma and Grandpa. Ah the magic of grandparents! How I wished we lived closer.
Andrew cuddling up to cousin Connor.
Napping with Grandma.
Connor got to pick oranges with Grandma and Uncle Bobby. And they sent us home with tons! I will be looking up some orange recipes.
Connor absolutely adores his cousin Natalie who just turned 7! She is the cool older cousin; he could not get enough of her. They had so much fun together.
The men: Great Granddad, Uncle Bobby, Chris & Matthew

4 generations right there! How lucky Connor is to know his great grandfather. You would never know that Great Granddad had a heart attack on Christmas eve. He seems as strong as an ox and sharp as a tack. Connor had such a great time visiting with everyone that when it was time to head back to SB he cried. We are so thankful for such a wonderful family.

Sleeping angel . . . Andrew has the absolute sweetest voice. He is at that stage where they speak in 2 word sentences. He is just darling!
