Jessica Sloan Stone was born Monday Sept 12, 2011 at 9:34am.
Jessica was 8 lbs 19 inches. Jessica's birth was a planned C-section. Our surgery was scheduled for 7:15am and we needed to be at the hospital at 5:15am. So our super babysitter Amber came over at 5am to hang out with Connor and get him ready for school.
Chris and I arrived at pre-op at 5:15am eager to get the surgery over with and meet our baby girl. However 10 minutes before we were to go into surgery the nurse came in and told us she had bad news... our surgery time was being pushed back due to another patient needing the or 1st. At 1st we were disappointed but it turned out to be a very special 2 hours wait for Chris and I. We laughed more in those 2 hrs than we had in a while. We were both giddy with excitement and joy and love. I will forever cherish that special time we had.

Our terrific Nurse Karen. She help me get ready for surgery, she held my hands in the O.R. when they were doing my spinal tap (Chris was not allowed in yet), and she put on Michael Buble in the O.R. as well as played photographer for us in the O.R. and after in recovery too.
Baby Jessica greeting the world with a nice healthy loud cry.
The good Dr. Turbell with a very goopy baby Jess.
Daddy trimming the cord.
Proud papa ... now you have someone to walk down the isle.
I did not want to let go.
In recovery Jessica showed us how healthy she was holding my finger tightly and sucking hard on my pinky.
Baby Jess and her very proud daddy.
