Weekend Fun

We had a such fun weekend visiting with friends and taking Connor on a very special date. Connor earned this special date by completing 320 kumon worksheets over the winter break. So proud of you Connor.

One of my goals for the year is to introduce Connor to the wonderful experience that is live music. It's one of my favorite things in the world. Dancing and signing along with the crowd to a live band is just about the most fun you can have!!! And between Chris and I we have a pretty diverse selection of favorites from Sugarcult to Jack Johnson to Justin Timberlake to Zac Brown to Ella Fitzgerald to all that 80's rock that Chris loves.

So Saturday night we brought Connor to a special dinner are the Scarlett Begonia (where when they served me the burger I ordered they forgot the BURGER HA!) it was quickly resolved but total comedy.
Then we attended the Kids Helping Kids fundraiser at the beautiful and historic Granada Theatre. It was the perfect mix of wonderful musical performances and fundraising and educating on a good cause. We were thrilled to be supporting such a great cause empowering this group of teenagers who are making the world a better place for less fortunate kids. For more info click here http://kidshelpingkidssb.org/
They raised almost $300,000 . . . what an amazing group of kids.
Now for the concert!!!! The opening band was Tim Lopez and his new band. They did a nice job. But when Andy Grammer took the stage the real fun began! I am now a huge fan. I loved all the songs . . . positive happy music with a fun funky beat! If you don't know who Andy Grammer is check him out on youtube.

Then Sunday we had the pleasure of spending the evening with our old friends the Ferrones.
It was a love time. They kids had a blast, Chris made delicious fish tacos and then we were spoiled with super yummy cupcakes from CrushCakes brought by the Ferrones. A great end to a perfect weekend.

I did also attend a very special baby shower but that will be another post since I don't have any pictures yet.

Christmas in SB

What a fantastic holiday season! Catching up / celebrating with friends, lots of great food, fun parties, dressing up, decorating, shopping, driving around looking at lights and sings Christmas carols with the kids.
Christmas Time = Happiness

It made us all happy every day to drive up to the house and see it all lit up.

The Deakyne's sweater party was hilarious! Thanks for including us Tim and Jenny. xoxo

It was fabulous to catch up with my old trainer Chanda whom I had not seen in years.

I'd say we clean up nicely :)

Very classy lady drinking beer out of a bottle at a cocktail party.  Hee hee hee

Christmas, Christmas, Christmas.

Chris, Jessy & Mike.
Happy Birthday Mike! It was great celebrating with you and your beautiful family.

 Connor, Noah and Taj.

Connor and big 'D' (Declan Ferrone). Connor is quite taken by Declan it's like the guy is a super hero.
Having known Declan since he was Connor's age I could not think of a better guy to look up to.

Christmas morning the kids had a blast discovering all the wonderful gifts left by Santa and the family.

We spent the afternoon playing on the beach. It was a spectacular day!

And a great end to Christmas was spending the evening with the Fallons.
