Venice, Italy

Venice is beautiful, historic, romantic, fun & more. We all loved this city. With the beautiful old buildings lining the canals, the good food, friendly people and lots of boat rides what’s not to love.

This is from the bridge near our hotel (Hotel Carlton). I was misinformed and thought our hotel was right near the Rialto bridge but it wasn't. It was near Ponte Scalzi and located right on the canal.

We enjoyed a few drinks while listening to some traditional or touristy Italian accordion music (either way it was fun).
Connor you are my cute little man. Just look at that face!
Home of the beautiful venetian mask.
I don't think Connor had ever seen a real marionette before.
Me in Venice . . . pinch me . . . giggle giggle.
Headed to
Piazza San Marco.
Across the lagoon from Piazza San Marco.
Our gondola ride.
I just liked these fearless fur window displays.
The yellow building behind Chris across the canal is our hotel. Venice was pretty easy to get around. There was a vaporetto or water bus stop across the bridge from our hotel and a water taxi stop right in front of our hotel, we also did a lot of walking.
Mangiare!
